This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

hether performing in song, concert or opera throughout the U.S., Michael Preacely remains passionately vigilant about allowing people to hear and feel music in such a way that liberates them.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Mr. Preacely graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with a bachelors in vocal performance.  Most recently, Mr. Preacely made his debut with the Cincinnati Opera singing the role of Jake in Porgy and Bess.  As one of the nation’s most promising baritones, Michael will debut as Scarpia with the Kentucky Opera’s production of Tosca in the fall. His other opera roles include Ford in Falstaff, The High Priest of Dagon in Samson and Delilah, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Porgy in Porgy and Bess and Marcello in La Bohème. Michael has also performed with Opera Company Philadelphia, Cleveland Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland and Bohème Opera of New Jersey.

Mr. Preacely’s success on the concert stage has blossomed with some of the nation’s leading orchestras, including the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Pops.  His upcoming performances include debuts as a guest soloist with the Cincinnati Pops and the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Preacely has received numerous accolades.  He was the First Place Graduate Winner in the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition (University of Kentucky, 2010) and the recipient of awards in various competitions such as the 2012 National Opera Association Vocal Competition Artist Division, the 2012 Fritz and Jensen Vocal Competition, and the 2003 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

Currently, Mr. Preacely lives in Lexington, KY.
